Wine Business Management is the first comprehensive book in the field covering all of the issues in wine management and wine today. The book, co-edited by Jérôme Gallo and Steve Charters, Director and Research Director of the School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB) at Burgundy School of Business, was released this autumn by Pearson France.
Contributions to the book were made by SWSB professors at Burgundy School of Business, partner universities as well as prominent researchers and experts in the field of wine business in Europe (France, Italy, the UK, Cyprus) North and South America and Australia.
Each aspect of the management and marketing of wine is analysed:
- the changing global context in the wine industry
- the best management practices which have been identified in wine enterprises, including financial control, strategic planning and innovation in addition to leadership and human resources
- the key aspects of strategic marketing such as consumer behavior, branding and promotion
- two areas in which the wine industry is changing extremely quickly are wine tourism and social media.
